From concluding a cross-border deal to running your business more efficiently, there are few challenges we haven’t met before. And with a keen eye for detail and a firm foot on the gas, we’re ready to move from day one.
Some firms list thirty locations. We work in three: the UK and Ireland, Jersey and the Middle East. You’re backed by a team ready to make the right calls quickly, so you never miss an opportunity.

VG brings together fiduciary services with fund, private wealth, corporate and capital markets administration for clients across the UK, Jersey and the Middle East. Whether you are a family, a fund manager or a corporate, our team is ready to understand what matters to you and recommend the right solution.
Our people
Work with people who’ll give you a straight answer and know where you’re heading.
William joined VG as Chief Executive Officer in January 2026. His job is to make sure VG is already there when its clients need it, wherever that is.
VG has long had a strong client base in the UK and the Middle East. It now has offices in London and Dubai, so those clients have a team close by. Each office also provides local services in its own market. With the backing of Mayfair Equity Partners, William continues to invest in Jersey as well as London and Dubai.
Before joining VG, William was Chief Commercial Officer at Vistra, with overall responsibility for the strategy, performance and growth of its business units. Earlier in his career he held senior global roles at JLL, Samsung and BlackBerry. He is still, by his own admission, a bit of a tech geek, which he balances with running and cycling outdoors.
Jamie has spent more than 25 years working with businesses, and more than 10 with individuals, across corporate services and investment management. As Chief Commercial Officer at VG, he combines commercial leadership with technology to find better, simpler ways of doing things.
His rule is simple. Technology should make your life easier, not more complicated. And great service starts with listening, understanding what matters to you, and doing what he says he’ll do.
For Jamie, business is about people. He works closely with VG’s team and its clients to solve problems and get things right, so you know you’re dealing with people who care about the outcome.
Andy has spent more than 25 years in Jersey’s financial services industry, as a Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director and Client Director. He’s a Fellow of both the ACCA and the AAT, with experience across Private Wealth and Funds. When a client board needs regulatory and financial expertise, Andy takes a seat at the table and brings the numbers and the regulation together.
The proof? Since joining VG in March 2025, Andy has led a transformation programme that changed how VG delivers service to clients. In a previous role, he took a start-up of fewer than 20 people to a four-jurisdiction business with more than 120 staff, through both organic and inorganic growth.
Andy has a reputation for getting things done, stepping in wherever attention is needed and delivering results. With Andy on your board, you get a senior financial leader with the regulatory depth to back it up.
Ian is a qualified Chartered Secretary (ACIS) with an MSc in Corporate Governance. He has spent more than 25 years in the finance industry, and more than 20 before that in commercial management, rising to Retail Managing Director at Le Riche Group in Jersey. He joined VG in 2015 to build its compliance and risk function, with a clear aim: make VG simpler and easier for you to do business with. Today, as Director of Compliance and Risk, he advises the business and the board on corporate governance, risk management and regulatory best practice, and he sits on VG’s Business Risk committee.
People come to Ian with problems and questions. He draws on decades of experience to guide each situation to a logical conclusion.
The proof? Ian co-authored the second edition of The Practical Guide for Wealthy Families and Family Offices with VG’s Paul Roper. He also uses his offshore regulatory experience to mentor VG’s people, and seeing them build successful careers is a big part of what drives him.
Heba has spent 17 years building corporate services businesses in the Middle East, first from London and, since 2019, from Dubai, where she led the Middle East business of a multinational corporate services provider. As Managing Director, MENA, she is leading VG’s expansion in the region and establishing its presence in the DIFC. Families, entrepreneurs and institutions come to her at moments that shape their future: international expansion, structuring family wealth, succession and governance, or setting up across jurisdictions.
The proof? At her previous firm, Heba helped develop and grow the Middle East business before taking on its regional leadership, with responsibility for strategic direction, commercial performance, regional development and institutional relationships. She was named in the eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 in 2017 and 2018 and shortlisted for Woman of the Year - Future Leaders at the 2020 Powerwomen Awards.
Heba works with prominent families, family offices, entrepreneurs, sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and multinational organisations across the UAE and wider GCC, alongside their legal, banking and investment advisers. Where commercial and personal considerations meet, she brings discretion and a clear understanding of what you want to preserve, protect and pass on. She holds a law degree and completed the Legal Practice Course in London.
Cliff has spent more than 25 years in structured finance, originating and structuring fund finance, securitisation and asset finance transactions across a wide range of asset classes. Based in London, he is the Head of VG’s Capital Markets business. He structures complex transactions and delivers them on tight timeframes, without cutting corners. He knows every stage of a deal, from origination and credit to document negotiation and execution, and brings regulatory expertise to client boards as an experienced director.
The proof? Cliff headed up the European fund finance business, set up the first independent fund finance advisory business in the European market, and spent over 10 years as Global Head of Capital Markets and Funds in the corporate services market. His latest project is a new sports financing structure designed to streamline the market.
Specialist lenders, banks and structured finance lawyers work with Cliff on securitization, warehouse finance, fund finance (including subscription lines and NAV), escrow and real estate finance. You deal with him directly, and he has been doing this for more than 25 years.
Patrick spent more than 10 years in aircraft leasing at Stellwagen and Orix Aviation, across finance, project, investment and financial asset management roles. He then spent seven years as a corporate service provider on both the fiduciary and capital markets side, setting up structures, facilitating closings and managing client portfolios. At VG, he brings that experience to repeat structures, new platforms and complex, regulation-sensitive transactions, and to informal deal guidance where the right introduction makes the difference.
The proof? Patrick was VG Ireland’s first employee. He built it from the ground up, securing its TCSP licence from the Department of Justice, setting up its office and putting tax and regulatory compliance in place. He has executed escrow transactions under the compliance requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland, OFSI and OFAC, set up multi-jurisdictional aviation platforms for major airlines and asset managers, and sat on more than 250 boards as Director or Alternate Director.
Originators, institutions, structured finance arrangers, lawyers, private credit and asset managers, airlines, lessors, and aviation and maritime businesses looking to establish in Ireland all work with Patrick. He is an ACCA qualified accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Law and a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland.
Gabriela has spent more than a decade in Jersey corporate services, with roles at Gen II, CCS and Aztec Group before joining VG in 2022. As Head of Corporate Services, she works on target asset acquisitions, corporate restructurings, schemes of arrangement, cross-border M&A and financing transactions. She also handles sukuk and conventional bonds, together with listing agent services for TISE Category 1 and 2 listings.
The proof? When a client fell out with an investment adviser VG worked with, Gabriela resolved the situation for the client without throwing the adviser under the bus. At the time, that adviser was working with VG on one deal. It now has three structures with VG, the most recent set up in 2025, with two transactions closed in 2026.
Private equity houses, listed and private companies and governments work with Gabriela on financing transactions to acquire almost any kind of asset, from technology and AI to financial institutions, across jurisdictions. She is an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, and holds an Institute of Directors Diploma and master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Wroclaw.
Joel has worked in employee incentives for almost 14 years. He joined VG in 2018, leads its Employee Incentives offering and is a Director of several of its operating companies. He sets up and runs Employee Benefit Trusts, Corporate Nominee Arrangements and other employee incentive structures, and shows you how they work in practice. When a share-related transaction or a time-sensitive action lands, he coordinates every party involved and keeps your structure running efficiently, in line with governance and compliance requirements.
The proof? A new client needed the employee ownership side of a major M&A transaction delivered on a tight timeframe. Joel set up both an Employee Benefit Trust and a separate Nominee Arrangement, worked through a large volume of transactional documentation with the client and their advisers, and had both structures in place for completion. The share allocations to management went ahead as planned.
Joel works with companies from the FTSE-100 to high-growth businesses, alongside brokers, registrars, legal and tax advisers and in-house company secretarial, HR and reward teams. He is a Chartered Member of the CISI, holds the CGI Diploma in International Finance and Administration, and Is currently undertaking his studies with the Institute of Directors. Joel won the inaugural Trust and Corporate Services category at the Jersey Finance Rising Star awards in 2020.
Mehar joined VG as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in June 2026. He finds the acquisition and partnership opportunities that support VG’s growth, and builds relationships with the founders, shareholders and management teams behind them. He assesses, structures and negotiates each transaction on VG’s behalf, and manages it from first conversation and diligence through documentation, completion and integration.
The proof? Mehar spent more than five years at Ocorian, where he contributed directly to an M&A programme that supported EBITDA growth of more than 33%. In the past five years, he has completed transactions across private wealth, corporate services, fund administration, regulatory compliance and capital markets, expanding geographic reach and strengthening service lines, leadership and capabilities. Before that, he worked in M&A at a London investment bank, advising UK and international listed companies across a range of sectors.
If you’re a founder or shareholder thinking about your firm’s next chapter, Mehar is the person to talk to. His experience spans the UK and mainland Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia.
Michael is a qualified accountant with more than 20 years’ post-qualification experience across asset classes, focusing on real estate and fund services. He has held senior executive roles at multi-jurisdictional corporate services providers, an in-house private equity firm and a FTSE 250 company. As Head of Real Estate and Fund Services at VG, he structures and services real estate investments from inception to liquidation, whether through corporate vehicles or funds, across jurisdictions and ownership types.
The proof? Migrations, acquisitions and sales, refinancings and restructurings all run to critical deadlines. Michael works alongside clients on each one, so key transactions are implemented on time.
Institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, asset and investment managers and family offices work with Michael across the UK, Europe and Asia.
Debbie has spent over 30 years working with families helping them protect their wealth
and build enduring legacies. Debbie has held senior executive positions within the private wealth industry since 2011 and joined VG in 2020 to build its private wealth offering. As Head of Private Wealth for the UK, Channel Islands and Middle East, she helps families with complex cross-border structuring, succession and governance: building lasting legacies and putting effective governance structures and frameworks in place. She is adept at bringing the technical expertise, cultural understanding and emotional intelligence required when dealing with private clients
The proof? Debbie is the trusted advisor to some of the firm’s largest GCC clients with relationships that span decades, guiding them through major milestones from intergenerational wealth transfer to business exits and family office set up. She was named in the Citywealth Leaders List: Top 100 International Powerwomen 2026, recommended in the Spear’s 500 Tax and Trusts index in 2023, and won Bronze at the 2022 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards.
Debbie works with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices and international families, particularly across the GCC, alongside their legal, tax and investment advisers. She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Law, the STEP International Diploma in Trust Management and the ICA Diploma in AML.
Paul started his career as a State Prosecutor and Advocate. He has since spent more than 30 years in finance, as a Senior Legal Advisor at Old Mutual and for 21 years as a Partner at Stonehage Fleming (now Corient), before joining VG’s board in 2020. As Head of Private Wealth for Commercial Europe and South Africa, he helps families put the right structures in place to preserve their wealth across generations and stays alongside them through every transaction that follows. Often, he is the homme d’affaires: the generalist who brings the specialists together.
The proof? Some of Paul’s relationships with clients and their advisers go back 20 to 30 years. He has authored or co-authored nine books on financial planning, offshore structures and family offices, and won Silver for Trustee of the Year (Channel Islands & Isle of Man) at the 2022 Citywealth IFC Awards.
Paul works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs and family offices, and has a long track record with Southern African families. To the next generation, he is often a confidant and mentor as well as a trustee. He is a Certified Financial Planner and holds an LLM, a Masters in International Tax and the STEP Diploma.
Sheena has spent more than 20 years in private wealth, including 13 with a multi-family office before joining VG in 2020. As Head of Family Office, she helps families structure, govern and administer complex wealth. That might mean an offshore structure, planning for a business sale or liquidity event, buying a high-value asset, or succession across several jurisdictions. She handles the regulatory detail and finds the practical way forward.
The proof? Some families have worked with Sheena for over 15 years through business sales and acquisitions, family challenges, legislative change and the passing of wealth between generations. She is a full member of STEP, holds a Diploma in International Finance and Administration from the Corporate Governance Institute, won a Citywealth PowerWomen Award in 2025 and features in the Private Client Global Elite directory.
Ultra-high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial families and family offices work with Sheena on structures holding investment portfolios, private equity, real estate, luxury assets and operating businesses. She works alongside lawyers, tax advisers, investment managers and bankers across Jersey, the UK, Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, so everyone pulls in the same direction. You deal with Sheena directly, and she’s in it for the long term.
Wendy has spent more than 25 years as a trustee and Director, managing complex structures for entrepreneurs and ultra-high-net-worth families. She joined VG in 2022 and now leads its Private Wealth team, including the Family Office offering headed by Sheena Huggett. Her work covers complex trusts, estate planning and diverse portfolios, with one aim: preserving and growing your wealth, and passing it on in a way that reflects what your family values.
The proof? Spear’s recommended Wendy in its 500 Tax and Trusts index in 2023, alongside VG colleague Debbie Lumsden. She works closely with clients, their families and their professional advisers, and anticipates the challenges and opportunities ahead.
She holds the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.
Katherine has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate services and capital markets, with senior roles at Vistra, Capita, Link Group and D.F. King. At VG, she sets up UK, Irish and Jersey structures that work as well in practice as they do on paper. That might be an employee benefit trust to reward and keep your key people, an entity or holding structure ahead of a sale, refinancing or investment round, or a property vehicle from acquisition to exit. If you already have an entity in one of these jurisdictions and just need help keeping it compliant, she can take of that too. Alongside VG’s local experts, she handles the compliance, regulatory and banking requirements, so you don’t have to.
The proof? A significant client needed four tender offers run at once, across its equity and debt registers, on a tight timetable. Katherine led the project from appointment, bringing together operations, technology and legal specialists to build a market-first online platform. It was delivered within three weeks, and all four transactions completed on schedule.
Owners, management teams and investors, and their advisers in the UK, Ireland, Jersey and the Middle East, deal directly with Katherine, someone who knows how structures, investor services and regulation fit together.
Nivek spent 10 years in regulated relationship management, as a qualified mortgage and investment adviser, private banker and relationship manager, before moving into HR more than 13 years ago. As Head of HR, she brings that commercial mindset to VG’s people. When a team needs to grow, an employee relations issue gets tricky, change needs managing or employment law needs untangling, Nivek is the one people call.
The proof? Nivek has supported an HR service covering 1,200 employees across 10 jurisdictions, and helped businesses expand into four new jurisdictions within two years. She has led HR technology and transformation projects at three organisations, redesigned performance frameworks before, during and after Covid, and delivered talent programmes that recruited 39 high-performing employees and achieved more than 20% internal promotion at executive level. During the pandemic, she also advised government departments on business and employment matters.
She works with executive teams, directors and managers in regulated financial services, and with employees at every level on their careers and development. She is also a Fellow of the CIPD.
